Cask Marque has awarded Olde England a perfect 100 out of 100 points on each of its visits to the pub and the Olde England listed as a Cask Marque registered pub "guaranteed a great pint of cask ale".
Olde England offer 8 real ales, from 8 hand pulls, Belgian Pilsner lager on draught and a 2 draught ciders as well as a range of bottled ciders and bottled special ales. They only stock real local ales from the likes of Liverpool Organic, Southport brewery and Cambrinus of Knowsley and are pleased with our Locale award from CAMRA.
Tea, coffee or a large choice of soft drinks are also available if you are driving or otherwise abstaining.
As well as selling the best real ale from breweries all over the North West of England, Olde England also has it’s very own Microbrewery called "Evening Star Brewery" (Click here for more info) where Julia brews her own fantastic real ales. Olde England was asked to provide some of it's real ale for the Liverpool beer festival for 2013, but the beer is so popular that Julia had to decline as it sells so fast. Olde England is one of only two Brew pubs in the North West and Julia Carmichael is one of a very small number of female brewers in England.
Inside Olde England you will find a very friendly and warm welcome. Some of the regular customers have been coming in for 50 years and have some great tales to tell, but Olde England are very pleased to welcome new faces too.
Olde England have a good pool table, a brand new internet updated Jukebox with a huge choice music, dominos, darts, board games, magazines, books and weekend news papers are also available in the traditional bar area and piped back ground music in the comfortable lounge.
If you have never ventured into the Olde England, or it has been a while since you last did, pay them a visit. You will be pleasantly suprised.
The olde England has many beer prices matching or even cheaper than Wetherpoons and constantly changing special offers
In Winter, when it’s cold outside, visit the Olde England and keep warm and cosy as you drink your pint next to their new Log Burning Fire.
In the summer, there is the beer garden, a perfect sun trap with walls on all sides to stop any wind. The beer garden is newly created and still being decorated, but Julia has already started with a number of plants and is presently planning out a Railway station theme for the garden.
The new micro brewery is also visible, through the window, as you enter the beer garden.
