Welcome to the Turks Head Pub in St Helens

Voted Liverpool and District CAMRA pub of the year 2007 and now 2008, also runner up in the CAMRA national pub of the year for 2007 .
The Turks Head is run by licensee Amanda Roue and her partner Daryl Arrowsmith. Amanda and Daryl are pictured here with Amanda’s sister, Adelle, in front of some of the hand pumps used to pull the pints of real ale. Amanda and Daryl are supported by a friendly team of barstaff and have a loyal following of locals.
The Turks Head is a friendly pub with a great atmosphere and excellent service. There are three large rooms, a real fire and an ever changing range of ale.
The Turks Head has 12 hand pumps, traditional ciders and perry. They have 5 draught continental beers and a wide selection of bottled continental beers.

On Tuesdays the Turks Head holds a Quiz night from 9:30 pm. and on Thursday nights there is a Curry and Jazz night.
The Turks Head has a paved beer garden, well decorated with plants and surrounded by some small trees. The beer garden has two large picnic tables to sit at. There is a covered smoking area, sited away from picnic tables, which contains a wall mounted heater to keep smokers warm in the winter months. There are a number of bird nesting boxes on the outside walls of the pub, some of which are presently occupied.
For those not so sunny days, there is a games room containing a pool table and darts board. There is a small library, a projector TV and a smaller tv in the bar side and another small tv in the lounge side.
The Turks Head also holds a number of real ale festivals throughout the year.
